Don't... Comparing is good... it makes you realize where something stands...
That's never bad... What is bad, "complaining over it"...
In an argument, you snapped, someone showed decency not to storm back but to soak it in and gently pass a piece of mind when your were in a sane state to be able to sync up...
If this incident made you compare the approaches you two followed, you would clearly see, what must be rectified...
Without that comparing/analysis, would you be able to see it... No... right?
Now instead of taking corrective action if you start the blame game, "I am just not good enough", "I don't like myself" -------- starting that entire 'I don't feel comfortable in my own skin' drama ---- that's what the problem...
Comparing is never bad... Imposing unrealistic conditions is...
Like being 80kg and comparing yourself with 50kg giving yourself body shaming quotes is stupid...
But wanting to loose those extra pounds to gain better health is good... instead of just wishing for it, taking a step towards it with some life style changes and building better habits is how you nourish and flourish yourself...
Without that one on one compare you would not even have given a hard look at yourself, would you??
Comparing someone net worth and learning how they got there and start making investments is a way to build your own portfolio...
Comparing someone's energy level and adopting their go green habits is a way to lead fully charges life...
Comparing ---- Analyzing ---- Introspecting ---- Goal setting ---- Self correcting...
That's how you EXCEL and not just exhale...
